Dear Saimer, SaiJosh, held for the 2nd consecutive year after the pandemic, had the right API to make it a grand success - Active People Ingredient! For four weeks in November and December, until the finale on December 24, 2022, the primary thought among participating Saimers was how to make a strategic move on the chess board, end the volleyball volley or ping pong rally, taking wickets or diving for catches, following the red in carrom and moving swiftly from Love All to win all in Shuttle. In many ways, the environment and ecosystem were perfect for the conduct of sporting events. Images of the extraordinary skills of popular soccer heroes in the world’s biggest sports fiesta – the FIFA World Cup in Qatar - and a spate of international cricket tournaments shaped the stage for participants. Result, with full focus on technique, skill, and teamwork, Saimers displayed many brilliant moves and enthralled the audience. A total of 553 matches were conducted across six categories - Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton and Cricket. Over 1,300 Saimers took part, breaking all prior participation records. Shameerpet Saimers emerged as winner in four events, Corporate took credit for three, with Bollaram and Bidar winning one event each. More details elsewhere in this flip book.
