We also have an Equal Opportunity policy in the R&D in Manchester which sets out our approach to equal opportunities and the avoidance of discrimination at work. It applies to all aspects of employment with us, including recruitment, pay and conditions, training, appraisals, promotion, conduct at work, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination of employment. We also monitor pay equity in order to incorporate diverse approaches to reducing the gender pay gap by addressing cultural, talent acquisition and retention factors. Guided by our Sustainable Development 2022 goals, we have launched an initiative that gives greater emphasis to the employment and empowerment of women. In the reporting period, we announced the “Women in Chemistry and Science at Sai,” program, an internal and intensive call to action to enhance the presence of women employees in functional and leadership roles. Women in Chemistry and Science at Sai is only the first step in our Diversity & Inclusion journey as we look forward to extending this to other functions and groups. We are also monitoring gender diversity across employee groups in India and Manchester while driving for improved diversity year after year.
