36 Supplier Engagement and Development As part of our current SDGs, we aim to engage with 100% of the critical suppliers in committing to the code of supplier conduct and ethics and our sustainable procurement framework. Promoting domestic suppliers for sustainable impact We are making conscious moves of working with domestic suppliers and increasing our sourcing of key raw materials from them to reduce dependency on geographies such as China and other parts of the world. This has been a work in progress. As part of risk mitigation plans, we have been able to consistently reduce the dependency by developing domestic alternate suppliers with the support of TPTO (Third Party Technical Overview). We have significantly reduced the dependency on China under all these project categories. Total number of vendors registered 98 Number of vendors who underwent quality audit 89 Number of KSM vendors who underwent HSE screening 89 Generating wealth from waste We have taken concerted efforts to create wealth from waste through reuse and recycling methods and adopting circularity in the value chain as well: • Jointly worked with technical team to reduce the volume of solvents and catalyst quantity • Usage of low chiral pure material for a commercial project to reduce the raw material procurement cost • Initiated programs to create wealth from waste by focussing on recycling and re-use We worked with one of the catalyst suppliers to recycle waste stream generated from usage of homogeneous catalysts in the process and recovered precious catalyst • Collaborated with suppliers to establish effective reprocessing for recycle of Iodine and Lithium Development of domestic suppliers has led to improvement in the availability as well as enabled visibility of raw materials. It has aided in transparency in costing and elimination of supply disruptions. The development of a sustainable supply chain influences better business outcomes.
