50 Defined goals paving the path to sustainable actions We strive to establish benchmarks for sustainability. We achieve this by adopting practices utilizing cutting edge technologies and adhering to the ethical standards. Our goal is not to meet industry expectations but to surpass them. Through our actions and achievements in sustainability we hope to inspire others in following suit. We take pride in having met our past year’s environmental goals and have reframed the following SDGs for the FY 2027, with FY 2022 as the baseline year: Reduce specific water consumption by Reduce specific greenhouse gas emissions by Replace Reduce specific hazardous waste generation by Recycle 25% 30% 10% 70% of our energy requirement with renewable sources 90% of hazardous waste through co-processing and alternate reuse We join hands in our responsibility to combat climate change, Sai Life Sciences has committed Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emission reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. We have committed to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science with the SBTi. These are 5-10-year GHG (Greenhouse gas) mitigation targets under the Paris Agreement’s aim to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C pre-industrial levels, to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change. Being a signatory to the SBTi will enable Sai to set targets, assess progress and calibrate actions to meet its goals in a time-bound manner.
