4 Reliving the life of a social reformer Savitribai Phule, acclaimed by history as the first female teacher of India, was a strong supporter of girl’s education and woman empowerment. Her personality is reflected through her poems and literature. Saimer Pranita has served as co-editor of a book based on the reformist’s writings and wrote the script for a stage show titled “Savitri Vadate” (Savitri Speaks). During the staging, Pranita had the honour of reciting and singing some of Savitri’s poems. More than 10 shows have been performed on the truth seeker who proved that prosperity and satisfaction can be achieved through collective efforts.
