69 ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... HSE training We emphasize the importance of safety through structured induction programs and ongoing training. Through safety training, we update the skills and competencies of our people in hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work procedures, handling and management of chemicals, hazardous waste and spillages, equipment safety, PPE usage and emergency preparedness. A crucial component of on-the-job training is consultation with employees on the shop floor and considering their recommendations. 59 Average number of HSE trainings per month 1397 Average number of employees trained per month 549 Average number of contractors trained per month Strengthening emergency preparedness As part of the preparedness strategy, we support our facilities through comprehensive site assessments and inspections, containment strategy, process safety studies, training, and advanced fire protection systems. Our facilities are equipped with fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, foam suppression systems, modular extinguishers, dedicated electrical panel fire suppression systems and trained emergency teams at all our facilities. Refresher training and mock drills are ongoing practices to stay up to date on knowledge of firefighting equipment and infrastructure, firefighting techniques, spill control procedures and usage of PPEs during emergencies. Emergency preparedness at R&D center Monitoring performance – HSE control tours The facilities are monitored through systematic daily HSE control tours. These activities identify HSE aspects that need immediate attention. Each facility records observations during daily environment and safety control tours. The observations are recorded and monitored through dashboards. Observations are addressed after a thorough root cause analysis, and our senior management team tracks timely compliance to the observations recorded. We report managing 95.5% of the observations identified across all the facilities. HSE aspects are also addressed and monitored through the SFTI walk-throughs and daily meetings. Pre-Start-up Safety Review The Pre-Start-up Safety Review is conducted before each new process initiation/campaign batch / new facility / new or modification or relocation of equipment. A cross-functional team reviews the modification process and facility alignment to the P&ID. This review contributes positively as we have achieved compliance of over 90% in addressing the identified observations. Industrial hygiene practices All our facilities have had occupational hygiene programs since 2018. Our team has a dedicated industrial hygienist to anticipate and design solutions addressing health and safety concerns with a preventive approach. We have been assessing the exposure levels of shopfloor personnel to chemicals, heat, and noise in all our facilities. At Unit 2, we monitored exposure to vibration to the personnel working in construction activities. Qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments are conducted across dispensing, charging, unloading, sifting, and micronizing operations. We have established a high potent development laboratory during the reporting year. The containment validation conducted at the high potent laboratory achieved a containment performance target of 0.1 μg/m3. A commercial HPAPI facility is being established at our facility in Bidar, and we integrate stringent standards similar to the high potency development laboratory.
