Sai Life Sciences Eye Care Centre

A gateway to high quality eye care

Over half a million people in the northern region of Hyderabad will now have access to high quality eye care in their neighborhood - thanks to the new ‘Sai Life Sciences Eye Care Centre’, opened in partnership with the LV Prasad Eye Institute.

On a balmy winter morning last week, we opened doors to the new Centre in Alwal, Shamirpet that aims to provide access to high quality eye care for a large underserved population, many of whom would otherwise not seek timely care due to issues of accessibility or affordability. The Centre is equipped to diagnose the complete range of eye diseases, and provide high quality surgical care for Cataract, Glaucoma, and procedures that can be performed under topical anaesthesia. The Centre will serve both, paying and non-paying patients, in a three-tier fee structure that cross subsidizes the patients who cannot afford to pay. As the next step, we plan to equip the centre with mobile clinics to extend "Care at home” facility, particularly for the elderly.

With a commitment to ‘Make it better together’, Sai Life Sciences has had a fruitful partnership with the LV Prasad Eye Institute for over 4 years and counting. Through this collaboration, it strives to support the Institute’s mission of providing “equitable care for all.” An added focus of bringing eye care closer to the doorstep of the people, has helped the partnership serve remote areas with minimal access to health care.

Sai Life Sciences also supports a Primary Vision Centre in Tumkunta, Shamirpet, a second Primary Vision Centre in Yanamalakuduru, Vij, and has helped procure surgical equipment to enhance the range of surgical services of the Secondary Centre in Akividu, AP. No block selected.Search for a block
