ISB professor talk

Exploring climate, water, plastic pollution & related stories: A fireside chat with ISB Prof. Anjal Prakash

To mark World Environment Day, Sai Life Sciences hosted an engaging fireside chat on June 6, 2025, with Dr. Anjal Prakash, Clinical Associate Professor at ISB (Indian School of Business) and lead author on multiple IPCC reports. The session was designed not just to raise awareness but to spark deeper conversations around sustainability, public policy, and climate resilience.

In a wide-ranging discussion, Prof. Prakash shared powerful insights—from the geopolitics of shared water resources and the role of policy in shaping behaviour, to traditional water conservation methods and gaps in modern action.

Prof. Prakash also highlighted the unique opportunity the pharmaceutical sector has to lead by example—by adopting sustainable practices not just in response to regulation, but voluntarily. He emphasized that when companies go beyond compliance to take proactive, self-driven steps—whether in waste reduction, water use, or supply chain management—it sets a powerful precedent for other industries and builds long-term resilience.

Rich with anecdotes and a grounded perspective, the session urged participants to reflect on how environmental responsibility begins with personal and institutional choices.

The session reinforced Sai Life Sciences' commitment to fostering dialogue and action on sustainability—at work and beyond.
