UN Women’s Empowerment Principles

Sai Life Sciences becomes a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles

Sai Life Sciences has joined the global community of signatories to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) — an initiative established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact (UNGC). The WEPs serve as a global framework for businesses to advance gender equality and empower women in the workplace, marketplace, and community.

By becoming a WEPs signatory, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that promotes gender equality and women’s empowerment across all aspects of our organization — from recruitment and leadership development to workplace culture and community engagement. This commitment also aligns with our diversity goal of increasing women’s representation in our workforce to 18% by 2027, up from 14% in 2025.

Our association with the WEPs builds on the foundation we established in July 2021, when Sai Life Sciences became a signatory to the UN Global Compact. The UNGC’s Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption guide our broader sustainability and governance framework. The WEPs, developed in collaboration with UNGC, represent a focused extension of these principles — emphasizing the critical role of gender equality in achieving sustainable business growth.

Becoming a WEPs signatory marks another important step in our journey to create a workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. It reinforces our belief that diversity drives innovation and strengthens our ability to deliver transformative solutions for our partners and communities.

As part of the WEPs network, we look forward to learning from global peers, sharing best practices, and deepening our efforts to advance gender equality — within Sai Life Sciences and beyond
