Sai’s new production block

Sai’s new production block now open for business!

The brand-new API and Intermediate manufacturing facility (Block #8) at Sai Life Sciences is the company’s largest block in terms of volume and size. It marks a 70% increase in reactor volume taking the combined capacity past 400 KL.  The project was completed in an accelerated time-frame of 15 months and had the distinction of clocking 0.5 million manhours of project execution without a single lost time incident!

In addition to the increased volumetric capacity, Block #8 provides the flexibility to handle low and high volumes in a single block with 32 reactors (16 production trains) of sizes ranging from 1 KL to 10 KL. It has next generation automation, advanced containment systems, a separate storage area for staging of raw material and intermediates, an increased ratio of filter dryers to reactors ratio, a dedicated vacuum system for every two reactors, and a 5 KL cryo reactor.
