International Women's Day

Soaring high this women's day

Adrenaline, enthusiasm and excitement were at peak levels at the JB Cricket Ground, Hyderabad, on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2021.

Globally, the day celebrates achievements of women in social, economic, cultural and political spheres. This year’s theme ‘Choose to Challenge,’ marks a call to action to challenge gender biases and inequality. Women Saimers chose parasailing as their challenge. It was a treat to watch participants fasten the harness, operate landing gear as instructed and touch down seamlessly.

In the team event, the ground transformed into a fast-moving colour palette as each team with a distinct jersey proved its worth in the Sai Premier League cricket tournament. Adding to the camaraderie and bonhomie were a games carnival, DJ music and a selfie booth.

In many ways, offsite events such as this will continue to be a catalyst for women empowerment at Sai Life Sciences. Key areas such as Human Resources, Research & Technology and Business Development already have significant representation. In the year ahead, we plan to train, recruit and elevate more women as part of our commitment to diversity and gender equality in the workplace.
